Okay, I know you can start off with Pikachu in the Yellow version, but not choosing's no fun I voted Bulbasaur, by the way.

Charmander or Squirtle! I really can't pick between them. I always picked either, and never picked Bulbasaur. Which is kind of a lame strategy because Bulbasaur was actually the best Pokemon for the first two gym leaders. He kinda sucks in Viridian Forest though against all those damn bug Pokemon. Charmander is awesome against the bugs but sucks hard against rock and water type. Squirtle is a fairly good pick, if you've got Water Gun by the time you reach Brock you can totally pwn those rock pokemon. SUCH PROS AND CONS HARD TO DECIDE HEAD EXPLOSION
edit: HEAD EXPLOSION was not meant to sound dirty in any way shape or form

All of them will be good against Brock if you train them up and get good moves (Charmander's Ember, Squirtle's Water Gun, can't remember what Bulbasaur's was called). In the long run I usually found Bulbasaur to be the most powerful, followed by Charmander and then Squirtle. By the way, 'HEAD EXPLOSION' didn't sound dirty until you mentioned it

Haha oops, my mind is definitely in the gutter And yeah, true. I still think it's easier for Squirtle though. But definitely any of them can beat Brock, just takes muchos training. I like how in Yellow you get all the starter pokermon. Only thing is Pikachu sucks against Rock types. But I suppose it's pretty easy to catch a bug pokemon and train it to battle Brock

Yeah, that's the thing about Pikachu, he's pretty cool and you get the added novelty of him following you around, but he'll get pwned at the first gym

I always picked Charmander simply because I love Charizard. Also, fire was always one of my favourite Pokemon types ;D

I loved it, and still do the only real downside I found was that you can only have one save file at a time. But other than that it was heaps fun collecting better photos of each Pokemon and finding new ones to photograph ^_^

I always started with Charmander. Fire is good. Pokemon Snap was awesome. So addictive. But the minigames in Pokemon Stadium had me and my friend playing for hours.

I used to take photos on Super Smash Brothers Melee? Yet another totally awesome Pokemon related game.

Super Smash Bros. FTW. I'm liking Brawl, but I think Melee was my fave.
Ahaha yeah, the minigames in Pokemon Stadium were SO AWESOME. Hours and hours of training myself to perfect that Chansey one where you catch the eggs...
