As showrunners, they're brilliant. My second favourite showrunners; season 7 was superb and 8 was in the middle of my season rankings. But as writers, they're better. They managed to make a consistant writing career and released four A+s. I'll post my reviews later, but here's my score: Marge Gets A Job: A- Marge In Chains: B+ Treehouse of Horror IV (Terror at 1/2 Feet): A+ $pringfield: A Lisa vs. Malibu Stacey: A- Sweet Seymore Skinner's Baadasssss Song: A+ Lady Bouvier's Lover: A Sideshow Bob Roberts: A+ Grampa vs. Sexual Inadequency: A Bart vs. Australia: A Who Shot Mr. Burns (Part One): A+ Who Shot Mr. Burns (Part Two): A

I place them third:
Mirkin > Al Jean/Mike Reiss > Bill and Josh > Matt Groening/Sam Simon/James L. Brooks > Scully > Jean

I agree with you, Starman, but what about them as writers?

Oh yes, they're excellent writers.

They're good, but they just can't beat some of the others writing.
