Best: Season 6
Worst: Season 11

Get ready to ramble!
Best:
Well, Season 7 is usually my answer, but I've noticed that I don't like too many episodes. But the thing about it is, I absolutely love some of it's episodes more than any others in any other season.
Season 4 is excellent, but I don't like it's animation. It had some episodes I don't like. Season 3 is pretty much the same, and something that's odd, when compared to Season 4, is that it's animation quality is alot better than Season 4's production.
Season 5 is generally considered the greatest by many fans, and it almost is. The only problems with it are that it isn't timeless. Some parts of it, I consider lame, and out-dated. And, I know they're perfect, but apart from Cape Feare, there isn't an episode which automatically would spring to mind when the word "classic" is aroused.
Season 6 featured the humour at it's very best, but, it had some ridiculous plots. But humour's good enough for me.
So, it goes: 7>6>3>5>4>2>9>8>1>15>12>10>14>19>17>13>16>11>18
Worst:
Well, Season 11 is utter ..*beeep*.. I mean, what, a whole episode centered around Homer going crazy, the family moving somewhere during spring break, "Kid Rock", Them killing an 'important' alligator, and adopting country slang for no good reason. And to top it off, they ran away from all their problems, and the episode is just unlikable. The episode is of course, Kill the Alligator and Run.
But, it's not all bad. The episode has humour. Not tonnes, and I'll admit, it isn't the cleverest the show's ever featured, but by golly, it made me laugh.
But, this season has easily my least favourite episode of all time, Alone Again, Natura-Didilly. Maude is killed by t-shirts, knocked from the bleachers to the ground. And what's most unsettling about it all, is the Ned is actually considering dating other women in the same episode his wife, of whom he (used to) love very much, just died. It's just so wrong. And to top it off, at Maude's funeral, her coffin is covered in stickers and logos, and cheerleaders fire a "t-shirt salute". It was in that moment when I thought; ...The Simpsons has died.
And what's even worse about that terrible episode is that it has no humour; whatsoever.
Then there's Bart to the Future. Worst. Future-episode. Ever. It's just so stupid, lame, and unbelievable.
In some scenes, it actually makes me believe that this is not The Simpsons at all; just a near spot on parody of it. e.g. Bart (as hobo): You used to be cool. Lisa (as President of the United States?!) No I didn't..
And the flashback starts when they stumble into an Indian casino, and a chief shows Bart his future in the fire. Just a really, really, bad, terrible episode. Nothing more, nothing less.
And last but possibly least, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Marge.
Boy; this is easily Marge's worst character moment in the entire history of the show. And, Marge is my favourite character. How am I supposed to react when she becomes paranoid, thinking a minor character's innocent girlfriend is trying to kill her family.
The whole episode is unbelievable; even for Marge's "nagging" standards. The episode climaxes with Homer blowing a dart into Marge's neck. Two thoughts struck me: "What a lovely husband Homer is", and, "Am I watching The Simpsons".
Then there's Saddlesore Galactica; utter vomit-inducing crap. Displays some of the worst scenes; moments in the show's history.
For example; Comic Book Guy is the episode's continuity cop, pointing out the Marge has had troubles with gambling before ($pringfield, among others) and that Lisa's had a pony (Lisa's Pony).
What the feeble writers/producers/Mike Scully's were trying to accomplish here, was to poke fun at the "long time fans" of the show, who criticized the show in it's form back in Season 11. They used Comic Book Guy as a puppet, to deliver their feelings towards us fans. It was basically saying, "you're not allowed to criticize the show, good or bad". Which is bogus; especially when you consider how much better this show can be. We've seen the early classic seasons, why can't they just revert to that style?
After Comic Book Guy's line, Homer replied, "Does anyone care what this guy thinks?", to which the whole surrounding crowd replied, "NO!".
Not only wasn't this episode funny, it tried way too hard to be. It was just painfully embarrasing.
Now, moving on to the worst season of all time. Even worse than Season 11. Season 18.
I won't make this long, because it's simple really. It's just so blatantly terrible, and god-awful. Unlike Season 11; which actually had a few microscopic traces of humour (even if it's dumb, childish humour), this season, had absolutely none. The bare minimum. It's as if they were told to change this show into a dumb, children-based cartoon. And that if they had even a trace of humour, they'd cancel the show. That's the general, overall feeling of Season 18. Plus, voice-acting is terrible, stupid non-sensical plots, and character-ruining situations, deems this, Season 18, the worst of all time.

My favourite season is season 4, but I'm too tired to give why.
My least favourite season is season twelve. Totally overrated.

Mine's eight, followed closely by 4, 6 and 2.
The worst season IMO is 11, just utterly horrible episodes, most of the way through.

What do you guys think is the worst episode of Season 11?
Mine's "Alone Again, Natura-Didilly", followed closely by "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Marge". I've heard by many people that "Take My Wife, Sleaze" is the worst episode of all time, so I'll have to check that one out aswell.
