Not only is this game my favourite PS1 game, it's my favourite game of all time. And this game, is of course, Abe's Exoddus.
It's just so fantastically brilliant. It has near-PS2 graphics, and this is a PS1 game... I was absolutely amazed when this came out 10 years ago. I own the original, Abe's Oddysee as well as this. (Payed over 30 dollars for each on eBay; and that doesn't include posting and handling).
My next favourite is, Medievil. Ah, one of the funnest games ever. Like Abe, it requires sharp, quick, clever, observation thinking. If you don't, you won't get anywhere in it. I own the original, the sequal, and the PSP remake, "Medievil: Resurrection".

I didn't really play the PS1 so I don't really know anything about the games. I only know the basics like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro etc.
But one of my friends is crazy about those 'Abe' games.

Yeah, Crash and Spyro are both brilliant games.

I always preferred Crash to Spyro. Oh, and I really liked that "Crash Bash" game.

Ah, me too. I loved (and still love), Crash 2, and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped and I also loved Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer, and Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon.
You should seriously check out Abe. Even now, after all these new games, I still consider it the greatest.
