Watch "Marge Be Not Proud" (my favourite Simpsons episode), "Miracle on Evergreen Terrace" (a really good episode), "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" (how couldn't you watch it), "Tis the Fifteenth Season" (Really, really good), and "Skinner's Sense of Snow" (a personal favourite). "Grift of the Magi" is my arguably my second favourite post-classic episode of all time. Also, if you can, try and watch Ren and Stimpy - "Stimpy's First Fart". It's like Jurassic Bark, except half as sad. Still a masterpiece though. I've watched all of the Christmas episodes you've mentioned. "Marge Be Not Proud" is one of my favourites of the season. "Miracle Of Evergreen Terrace" is underrated. "Roasting" is a very brilliant episode. "Tis" is one of my favourites of season 15. "Skinner's Sense Of Snow" is a very poor episode - nevertheless, among the best of its season. Love that news on "Grift of The Magi" - do you think it'd raise my thoughts on season 11? And I've watched "Stimpy's First Fart" - great episode, certainly top five. I'll watch it again.

Hopefully, it sure changed my thoughts on it. The episode itself is both funny, and clever. It's just brilliant. I'd give it an A/A+.

Just watched "The Grift Of The Magi" yesterday. It was great. I'm not sure if it entirely changed my thoughts on the season, as I fear that this episode will go lower in a repeated viewing. I'll give it a B+.
Ah, still can't find the first disc for the third season of Futurama. I found it two days ago but now, it's lost! Argh! I think I'll watch it online, though I rarely do.

I don't think "The Grift Of The Magi" was that good. It was okay at first, but I think I've overwatched it.

Yeah, and I still can't find the third disc of Season 8. Although it's no bother, for two reasons:
1. I don't like Season 8. 2. They'll probably just release it on a new format soon enough.
And 'Grift of the Magi' still had the style of Season 11, although there was nothing bad about it, and I found it's style amazingly refreshing - it's probably the most refreshing episode I can remember seeing. It makes me love Season 11's style.

1. I don't like Season 8. You don't like Season 8? What's so bad about it?

I just hate the things they did in it. Too many sudden things, being shoved at me all of a sudden. " Hurricane Neddy" ruined Ned's character. I'm not going to be nice to it, it officially ruined Ned's character - or to put it another way, it completely stripped the character of everything that made it unique or interesting. " Lisa's Date With Density" features an eight year old girl dating a bully. No. No. No. If you're going to write crap like this, go work on American Dad, where stuff like this doesn't matter. " Homer's Enemy" features the first death of a character to be treated as a joke. No, I don't want to see that, why on earth would I want to see that? It spends ages building up the episode, building and building, and I thought it actually had potential, until he was electrocuted and everyone enjoyed a little laugh as his coffin gets lowered into the ground. ...aha...ha....haha....ha.......ha. And it's the origin of filler material on the show; "The Twisted World of Marge Simpson", and the season has the most amount of bad episodes featured up until then. It also featured easily the worst Treehouse of Horror up until that point, had forgettable, uninteresting characters - Burns' son, that guy from that forgettable episode where they leave Springfield for some stupid reason. I could go on.

'Homer's Enemy' is hilarious. Although the other two episodes you mentioned, I agree with you on.

Season 8 Disc 3 had one of my favourite episodes ever, "Homer vs. The Eighteenth Amendment".

W-Wait a second, you hate Hank Scorpio? He's, like, the best one-time character ever. And season eight was home to some awesome characters; Frank Grimes, The Space Coyote, Cecil Terwillegar, Rex Banner, Larry Burns, Hugo Simpson, Laddie, and so on.

Whereas I would say they're the worst characters of the classic era. Is it because I'm prejudiced against the season with a guy being electrocuted, and having every laugh at him, having a young girl dating a bully, having Bart sell his dog and stealing it off a blind man, having Homer ruthlessly bash gays for a good 15 minutes or so, then have a sappy little ending and all of a sudden everything's better again? No. It's because these characters are just nowhere near as good as some other characters that have appeared in the show previously (Lyle Lanley, Laura Powers, etc).

Larry Burns is a great character. "Whoa! Put her back in! She's not done yet!"

"...Oh yes, he made fun of my weight problem, and then said my catchphrase should be 'septer fudge'. At that point he told me to relax."
Haha, a Yale inspector's description of Larry.
